September has arrived and the school run commences once again. 

 

The calendar is BURSTING with workshops and events this month, and we're so excited to announce some fantastic opportunities in this week's edition of the Word On Mill Street. 

 

We've got movie nights, self-care club, karaoke and the launch of WCC's hugely popular Digital Creative Co-Investment Recovery grant.

MILL STREET KARAOKE NIGHT

EVERYONE'S WELCOME - THE URBAN GARDEN

FRIDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER - 7 TILL 10 PM 🎀

Unleash your inner rockstar with the much anticipated Mill Street karaoke night. 

 

This is your chance to shine in the spotlight, belt out your favorite tunes, and dazzle the crowd with your vocal prowess (or lack thereof, but who cares, it's all in good fun!).

 

Whether you're a seasoned crooner or just looking to have a laugh, this is the event for you.

 

Grab your friends, pick your song, and prepare for a night of musical mayhem and unforgettable memories. We'll have a fantastic selection of songs, delicious drinks, and a lively atmosphere to keep the party going. Don't be shy, because at Karaoke Night, everyone's a star!

SPEAKERS CLUB IS BACK

TUESDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 7 TILL 10 PM

Leamington Spa Speakers Club is set to return for the Autumn term here at Mill Street.

 

Whether you want to make a better business presentation, give a speech at a wedding or birthday, chair a meeting, propose a toast, or say what you mean at work, Leamington Speakers Club provides its members with an environment in which every single speaker can practice, develop and improve their public speaking skills with a huge amount of support and encouragement.

CPR TRAINING HERE AT MILL STREET

GROUND FLOOR MEETING ROOM - WEDNESDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER - 4 TILL 5 PM

Unfortunately, m any of us will witness a cardiac arrest in our lifetime.
 
When unexpected things happen, it's vital you know what to do to give that person the best chance of survival.
 
A FREE CPR training workshop is taking place on Wednesday the 13th of September, here at Mill Street. The training includes how to deal with cardiac arrest in adults and children and all there is to know about defibrillators and choking.

NEW £350K GRANT FROM WCC IS NOW LIVE

VERY LIMITED TIME - 5 WEEKS ONLY 

With grants of up to £30k available per business, Warwickshire County Council have launched round 2 of their hugely popular Digital Creative Co-Investment Recovery grant.
 
This is a very limited-time fund (only 5 weeks) and is likely to be even more competitive than the previous round, so don't hang about if you have a project ready to go.
 
To answer questions you have about the fund, Sim and Robert from the WCC team will be on hand at the MSE this Thursday, 7th Sep, from 10:00-14:00.

THE LAST OF THE SUMMER FUN

FRIDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER - LEAM BOAT CENTRE

Join PANDA for the Last of the Summer Fun event!

 

Get ready to enjoy an evening filled with laughter, paddling, pedalling, rowing or just chilling with a drink and bite to eat. There will most definitely be good vibes all around.

 

Last of the Summer Fun is all about making the most of the end of the summer season and raising money for the amazing work that Helping Hands do in our town and surrounding areas, supporting the most vulnerable people in our community.

 

Buy a ticket for you, your family and friends and enjoy two hours of fun out on the water, or stay on dry land and enjoy the music, food, and soak up the vibes in good company.

 

Leam Boat Centre are kindly supporting this event and ticket holders will have access to all of their kayaks, pedalo's, rowing boats, paddle-boards etc.

 

Remember that all proceeds will be going directly to supporting the work of Helping Hands.

THE MILL STREET FISH AND CHIP BAR IS BACK 🐠

THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY BETWEEN 12-2 PM.

The sun has decided to make a very overdue appearance, so we're bringing the Mill Street fish & chip bar back to celebrate.

 

Enjoy a Mill Street favourite and tuck into crispy battered fish and chips on the terrace.

 

Available this Thursday and Friday between 12-2.
